Biggest Economies of the Future
the power is in the purse as they say. the pen is mighter than the sword? well the pen drives the sword.
So a study came out from price waterhouse coopers by 2050. and the money is moving east. you have china there at #1. don’t ask me how it got there. it’s a long story. united states and india contesting at #2. united states slipping to #2 or #3. don’t ask me too how it got there. it’s a looong story. so what is the basis of this PWC shocker?
one reason would be population growth & work productivity. well i dont want to sound funny but making babies really pushes the economy up ;D . that is my funny yet a little truthful reason with qualifications. the real reason is multifaceted and complex.
surprises? well , a lot. australia falling out far. indonesia climbing to 4th ( i will visit indonesia and bali this year). brazil with it’s political turmoil reaching #5. vietnam going up fast. nigeria making progress. philippines w/c has been a laggard reaching #19 . whut?…..unbelievable. but believe it. the answers come from making babies :D that’s a joke okay.
no surprise? well. USA for one. don’t ask me why. it’s a long story. france falling way down. don’t ask me why. it’s a long story. thailand. declining populations in japan and germany isn’t helping any. i strongly suggest to send love gurus there :D
what the world needs to not worry is. there will be plenty for everyone as the world will grow by double by 2050. it doesn’t really matter if you are number one or #50 as long as the specific country is happy or specific citizen is happy with how each life is running along. as they say, life is how you make it.
of course these rankings will move as time goes by. as countries compete and hussle. these rankings will change. but in my opinion, these rankings is quite on point with slight adjustments and how citizens drive their countries forward or backward. running a country is like a knife. it’s double edged. what the citizens do not know is that, their fate is decided by wiseguys they elect in office. and those purported wiseguys turn out to be stupid guys, decisions will affect their daily lives. the rankings will change for sure depending on what each country will do after 2017. what this study doesn’t say is the quality of life per country. so that is an issue.
one thing is for sure, price waterhouse just made a shocker.
